Presentation
Vin du Pays de Herve is a Wallonian cooperative that runs a vineyard and carries out wine production activities. Inspired by the Vin de Liège model, it promotes the philosophy of local value creation and the social economy. Since late 2017, the cooperative buys and rents arable land, which it transforms into organic vineyards by implicating citizens in the revival and usage of artisanal techniques. Eight hectares of vines have already been planted (40,000 feet) and the first harvests are expected for 2020. Although the vines had almost entirely disappeared from the Wallonian region, Vin du Pays de Herve mission is to bring back this sector all while respecting the environment and people.
To finance a part of its future storage and processing cellar, Vin du Pays de Herve is looking to you to join its cooperative all while learning more about viticulture!
